DTS uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for land use forecasting and analyses to assist both public and private sector clients.
Our standardized approach allows clients to review land use forecasts through GIS providing a connection between forecasted data tables and existing GIS data layers. This allows clients to analyze multiple scenarios with varied inputs in a timely manner.
Using ESRI-based GIS products we are able to create stand-alone applications that allow the user to forecast data at many levels including: census tracts, traffic analysis zones, and residential/employment sub-markets. In addition, we are able to provide base level population and employment values, as well as forecasts in 5 to 20 year increments
